Green Crawl

On May 17, 2009, an alliance of non-profit organizations hosted the Green Crawl, an event to raise awareness for the resources available for rebuilding homeowners. The crawl included six sites involved in the sustainable rebuilding of New Orleans: the Hollygrove Growers Market and Farm, the BuildSmart Learning Center, Global Green, The Green Project, the Eco Pavilion at the City Park Botanical Gardens and the Rebuilding Information Station.

The crawl ended at the BuildSmart Learning Center, where there was food, music and sustainability-focused prizes including a solar water heater and dual flush toilets.
