Community Health Center, New Orleans East

The City Center is assisting the Tulane Health Center and project partner Mary Queen of Vietnam CDC to meet the needs of Vietnamese community as they return home to New Orleans East. The City Center worked to survey and document an exsiting commercial building to assess its potential as a health clinic. MQVNCDC has been aggressively pursuing the rebuilding of existing infrastructure and envisioning new infrastructure to aid in their community’s regrowth and long-term vitality.

Tulane School of Medicine is proposing a Health Clinic along Alcee Fortier Bvoulevard to support the long term physical health of the returning community. The City Center has played a support role in their efforts by providing the physicians and contractors with the documents necessary to initiate renovation. This project is part of an ongoing relationship with both the Tulane School of Medicine and Mary Queen of Vietnam.
