Review Team Selects Two New Community Initiatives

The TCC once again received a broad range of compelling proposals in response to our call out for non-profit/community driven design and planning projects. Once again our review team - consisting of past grant recipients, local TSA alumni, local AIA members, TSA faculty and Dean Ken Schwartz, had the difficult task of selecting two projects from the list. We are very happy to be working with Jane Place Neighborhood Sustainability Initiative in support of their efforts to develop the infrastructure for long-term stable affordable housing and flexible community space in their mid city neighborhood. We are also excited to work with the New Orleans Dance Collective on developing schematic design proposals for their future dance studio and performance space. These projects are funded through a generous multi-year gift from Johnson Controls Inc.
