John Coyle is a recent graduate of the Tulane School of Architecture. Originally from Long Island, NY, he relocated to New Orleans after identifying the opportunity to enact positive change in the city. He is passionate about public interest design, urban planning and sustainable modes of transportation. John is an avid cyclist and spent a semester in Copenhagen, Denmark, the most bicycle friendly city in the world. His Masters Thesis investigated the potential for New Orleans as a cycle city. With his free time he explores New Orleans by bike, the best way to experience the city. As a student, John was involved with the Tulane City Center’s Engage-Design-Build studio and participated in the design and construction of the AIA award winning LOOP Gathering Pavilion. John is an Americorps VISTA and is excited about the opportunity to continue to serve the community with the Tulane City Center.
